(ANAHEIM, CA, Feb. 12, 2014) – The city of Los Angeles' oldest Muslim community, Masjid Bilal Islamic Center, and their leader Imam Abdul Karim Hasan, will be honored this year by the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California during their annual conference.

The Bilal community, which is currently beginning the process of rebuilding their Masjid, has been an intricate part of Los Angeles history for more than 55 years.
